FAQ
Questions about working together
Straight answers to the questions that often come up before working together. No marketing, no detours.
Working together
How does the initial call work?
The first call is about one question only: does your request match what I can do? I listen, assess your situation and tell you honestly whether and how I can help – and if I’m not the right person, I’ll tell you that too. No sales pitch, no commitment. You leave with a clear assessment, not with an offer that puts you under pressure.
Do I have to commission a large project right away?
No. Many mandates start with a clearly defined task. If the collaboration works for both sides, more often grows from it.
Do you also take on smaller projects?
Yes – if there is a clearly defined task where my involvement pays off: helping with a month-end close, preparing a meeting with the bank, sorting out a process. What matters is that I create real value, not the size of the project.
Do you also work long-term?
Yes. Some assignments last a few days, others I support for months – as interim finance manager or as an external finance partner.
How quickly can you start?
An initial call is usually possible within 24 hours. The project start depends on scope and my workload – short-term support can often be arranged within a few days. You’ll get a realistic assessment in the initial call.
How I work
Do you work exclusively remotely?
Most projects I support remotely. What used to require presence now runs through the systems you already work in.
Is on-site work possible?
Most things can be handled reliably remotely today. Where being there in person really makes sense – for a project kick-off or an interim role, for example – I travel when needed, with travel expenses reimbursed.
How do you fit into our processes?
I work in your existing system landscape. I know SAP from years of hands-on use as a key user and Oracle HFM from group consolidation – and for analyses, models and everything between the systems, Excel is my tool, from quick evaluations to robust financial models. You don’t have to change anything for me: I fit into your processes, not the other way round.
How do you handle confidential data?
Handling sensitive financial data has been part of my daily work for years. Confidentiality is the foundation. If you wish, we also sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
Services
Do you also take on operational tasks?
Yes. I don’t stop at analyses and concepts but work in day-to-day operations – clearing bookkeeping backlogs, supporting closings, setting up reporting and controlling, or taking on finance responsibility for a limited time. That’s exactly what sets my work apart from classic consulting.
Why not classic management consulting?
Because I don’t stop at recommendations. I take responsibility and see implementation through into day-to-day operations. What counts are working solutions – not presentations that end up in a drawer.
Background
Why do you work from Thailand?
I deliberately moved my life to Thailand – it hasn’t changed the way I work. The European morning is my afternoon; that’s when most calls take place, later when needed. And the time difference has an upside: while you sleep, I work. What matters is not where I sit, but that the collaboration runs reliably.
Why is your company a US LLC?
As I work internationally, this structure suits my business model. Invoices are issued by the US company, and VAT is handled according to the rules that apply to your business. Contracts are drawn up in German – in English or bilingual if needed. Communication and collaboration run in English or German, as you prefer.
